Cats are one of the most expressive animals when it comes to vocalization. They use different sounds and tones to convey their emotions, and they can make over 100 different sounds, from meows to purrs, growls, hisses, and even chirps. Dogs, on the other hand, are a bit more limited in their vocal range. While they can make different barks, whines, and howls, they only have about 10 different sounds they can use to communicate. Looks like cats have the upper hand when it comes to being vocal!
